Pastor Troy & Melanie Bohn

Pastor Troy D. Bohn and his wife Melanie Bohn are veteran evangelists and ministry leaders who have devoted their lives to reaching the broken, the hurting, and those far from God. They have been intercity missionaries since 1991, partnering together for over three decades in gospel outreach and discipleship ministry.

How They Met & Married
Troy met Melanie when they were in high school — and have been married for nearly 40 years. Their long marriage is a testimony to their shared faith, unified calling, and commitment to serving Jesus together. They have been blessed with an incredible family (including 26 grandchildren...so far)

Their Ministry Beginnings
In the early years of their life together, Troy served as a pastor, evangelist, and church planter, gaining a reputation for bold proclamation and compassionate outreach. Over time, Melanie became an indispensable partner in ministry, joining Troy on the streets, in mission settings, and in discipleship contexts.

Raven Ministries International
In 1996, Troy and Melanie’s lives were profoundly changed when they visited New Orleans for the first time. As they walked into the French Quarter, they saw tens of thousands of people in need—not just physically, but spiritually—and felt a calling to make New Orleans their life’s mission field. This moment birthed Raven Ministries International, an outreach dedicated to Restoring A Vision & Evangelizing Nations (RAVEN).

Together, they established the Raven Ministries International Training Center in the Greater New Orleans area. Through the Training Center they have hosted hundreds of mission teams, church groups, and interns, equipping believers from around the world to engage in evangelism, street ministry, outreach to the homeless, community service, and other compassionate expressions of Christ’s love.

Under their leadership, Raven Ministries has become known for:

• Weekly street evangelism (including the well-known Raven Street Church on Bourbon Street),

• Training and equipping the next generation of ministers and missionaries,

• Short-term mission experiences, and

• A lifestyle commitment to taking the Gospel into the “bad places” with grace, compassion, and truth.

Together in Ministry and Life
Pastor Troy and Melanie model a life lived in full surrender to Christ’s call. Their marriage, partnership in ministry, and shared vision have impacted countless lives both in New Orleans and far beyond. Whether hosting interns, preaching on the streets, or equipping churches and teams, they remain passionate about seeing individuals encounter Jesus and discover their purpose in Him.
