Our Mission & Vision

At Raven Ministries International Training Center, Inc., our mission is at the heart of everything we do. Discover the driving force behind our commitment to spreading the Gospel and transforming lives around the globe.

Every great move of God has started with a God-given vision. A vision is not just a plan or a goal—it is a divine directive that shapes the life, focus, and future of a church. Without a clear and God-glorifying vision, churches become stagnant, inward-focused, and ultimately ineffective.

I. A God-Glorifying Vision Begins with a Burden (Nehemiah 1:4)

Before there is a vision, there is a burden. Every God-breathed vision is birthed out of holy discomfort—an awareness that something is broken and that God is calling you to step into the gap.

Raven Ministries International didn’t begin as a clever idea; it began as a burden for the lost—a deep cry for souls in places most churches had overlooked. Bourbon Street, Daytona Bike Week, college campuses, and impoverished neighborhoods became fields of harvest because someone carried a burden to see God glorified in the hardest places.

II. A God-Glorifying Vision Flows from the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)

Vision can never be about building your personal brand, your building size, or your reputation. A God-glorifying vision is always tied to the Great Commission—to make disciples of all nations.

Raven Ministries International exists to "Bring the Gospel to the streets, raise up laborers, and disciple the nations." Every outreach, training center, and team is driven by the desire to fulfill the Great Commission. This keeps the vision focused and prevents distraction.

III. A Sustainable Vision is Written, Communicated, and Repeated (Habakkuk 2:2)

Visions die when they are vague or hidden. Sustainable vision is written plainly so that everyone in the church can understand, embrace, and run with it. This is one of the keys to Raven’s sustainability over the years—they continually cast vision, they equip teams, and they pass the baton to the next generation.

IV. A Sustainable Vision Requires a Culture of Training and Discipleship (2 Timothy 2:2)

Visions die when they rely solely on a single leader. Sustainable vision multiplies through training others who will carry the vision forward. This is at the heart of Raven Ministries’ Training Centers. Every outreach isn’t just an event—it’s a training opportunity to disciple new leaders who can multiply the vision.

V. A God-Glorifying Vision Keeps Jesus at the Center (Colossians 1:18)

Raven Ministries’ success is not in clever strategies—it is in an unwavering focus on Jesus. Every street outreach, prayer meeting, discipleship session, and act of service points back to Christ crucified and resurrected. A vision that glorifies God will always exalt Christ above the name of the church, the name of the pastor, or the name of any program.

VI. A Sustainable Vision is Powered by Prayer (Acts 1:14)

Before Raven Ministries ever hit the streets, they prayed. Before they launched training, they prayed. Before every outreach, they prayed. Sustainable vision doesn’t depend on personality or charisma—it depends on intimacy with God. Prayer fuels vision.

A Call to Establish Vision

Raven Ministries International stands as a testimony that God-glorifying vision works when it is rooted in the Word, empowered by the Spirit, centered on Jesus, and multiplied through discipleship. Your church may not be called to the exact same work as Raven, but you are called to fulfill your part of the Great Commission.

Today, I challenge you— seek God’s heart for your church’s vision. Write it down. Share it often. Train people to run with it. And most importantly, make sure that vision glorifies God, not man.

Beyond the ordinary

Raven Ministries International Training Center exists to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in places often overlooked or avoided by traditional ministry—and to equip believers to do the same.

Raven Ministries International was founded out of a clear call from God to take the message of salvation beyond church walls and into the streets, neighborhoods, and communities where brokenness, addiction, confusion, and spiritual darkness are most evident. From its earliest days, the ministry has been driven by a simple yet uncompromising conviction: the gospel still works anywhere.

Our Beginning

The Raven Ministries International Training Center began in New Orleans, Louisiana, through the obedience of Pastor Troy D. Bohn and Melanie Bohn, who sensed a burden to reach those who would likely never enter a traditional church setting. Rather than waiting for people to come to them, they went to where people already were—most notably the French Quarter and Bourbon Street.

What started as open-air preaching, one-on-one evangelism, and public prayer quickly became a consistent presence in areas marked by addiction, homelessness, exploitation, and spiritual resistance. These were not viewed as “bad places,” but as mission fields deserving of the light of Christ.

Our Mission

Raven Ministries International is committed to:

  • Reaching the lost with the uncompromised gospel of Jesus Christ

  • Training believers to live boldly and biblically

  • Sending disciples into their communities and beyond

Our mission is not centered on building a crowd, but on making disciples who are equipped to serve, endure, and reproduce.

A Ministry of Training and Sending

As individuals encountered Christ through street ministry and outreach efforts, a growing desire for discipleship and biblical training emerged. In response, Raven Ministries developed into a training-focused ministry—raising up believers who are grounded in Scripture, shaped by obedience, and prepared for real-world ministry.

The Raven Ministries International Training Center was established to provide:

  • Practical discipleship and leadership development

  • Hands-on ministry experience

  • Biblical instruction with real-world application

  • Preparation for local, regional, and national outreach

Our emphasis has always been on engagement, not entertainment, and obedience, not comfort.

Our Core Values

  • Biblical Authority – God’s Word is our final authority in faith and practice

  • Missional Living – Every believer is called to go, not merely gather

  • Bold Witness – The gospel is to be proclaimed without compromise

  • Servant Leadership – Ministry is built on humility, sacrifice, and love

  • Multiplication – Trained believers are sent to train others

Our Ongoing Commitment

Today, Raven Ministries International continues to serve through street churches, Bible studies, community outreach, missions, leadership training, and evangelistic initiatives across multiple cities and contexts. While methods may expand, the heart of the ministry remains unchanged.

We exist to confront darkness with truth, to bring hope where despair reigns, and to equip believers to live on mission every day.
