Bring Your Group to New Orleans!
One ot the mainstays here at the Raven Ministries International Training Ceter over the years has been our short-term mission teams hosting here in New Orleans. Our mild winters allow for groups to come and experience urban missions during all four season.
The Training Center is located just across the Mississippi Bridge from Downtown New Orleans in Gretna, Louisiana. You can literally look across the river and see into the City from our 3rd floor landing. Gretna is knows as the "safest community" in the Greater New Orleans area - yet it's less than a 10 minute drive into the French Quarter.
Mission teams stay on our 20,000 sq ft campus which is also home to our staff and interns. Dormotories on the 2nd and 3rd floor serve our guests and the campus has kitchen, dining, chapel and common areas as well.
Some of the activities visiting teams experience are our: Ministry to the Homeless in the French Quarter, Senior Adult Ministry, Campus Ministry (College and High School", our Adopt-A-Block Community Ministry, prayer ministry, and ministry at the Youth Dentention Center.
Annual Mardi Gras Outreach
This is where things got started for Raven Ministries in 1996! A group of nine people from Texas made the first trip to New Orleans to participate in reaching the two million visitors that flcok to the Crescent City duing Carnival Season and a movement began. The word of the Lord came that cool February night saying, 'When you SEE it like I SAW IT,then you will DO IT like I DID IT" and we have hosted thousands of urban missionary evangelist and have seen countless lives changed and ministries birthed from this life-changing experience. You'll want to come see for yourself!
